Italy. April 21, 2022. Everything is ready for the engines to start in the 2022 European Regional Formula 3, where Colombian Nico Baptiste will make his debut in this high-performance competition racing for the FA Racing team, after making an important I worked last season with the CRAM Motorsport team in Italian Formula 4.

After nine years of having started his career in Karts competitions in Bogotá, Nico Baptiste arrives at the team driven by the two-time world champion, Fernando Alonso, with the goal of being at the top of the European Regional Formula 3 and thus continue advancing within the automobile serial.

Nico Baptiste's outstanding performance in 2021 earned him a podium finish in September at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. He won the rookie race of the legendary circuit, leaving the Colombian flag at the top and with the anthem playing for the first time in the category.

Now, in the European Regional Formula 2022 by Alpine, which starts this Friday, April 22 Monza National Autodrome (Italy), Nico Baptiste aspires to take a step forward on his way to reach the highest category, Formula 1. “After My time in Formula 4 and the lessons learned that allowed me to climb positions, I am aware of the challenge that racing in the European Regional Formula 3 means. I am happy and very excited. Now I will be driving a car with new aerodynamics, much heavier and with more horsepower, which has required greater physical, mental and emotional preparation. I have done it conscientiously and I am going to give everything. This is a very important step in my career as a car driver and the idea is to continue working forever to leave the name of Colombia on high”, noted Nico Baptiste.

For his part, Paul Antony, team principal, said: "Nicolas is ready to participate in the European Regional Formula by Alpine, which is a really strong championship, with many cars and a high level for its participants. Along with the challenge that represents, it is a learning championship, in which high-performance riders start their campaign at the top. Already with 6 days of testing on different tracks, Nicolás has done a good job in mixed, rainy and dry conditions. As a rider rookie must keep working. He has shown a good performance, which is what we want to see. Now we are in Monza, we hope to have the same good results as we had in the test 2 weeks ago”.
